We do two things that conflict with Internet Explorer's privacy manager "High" setting:
- We require an email address. Your email is used as your login ID because it is easy to remember, it is the way you communicate with participants, and it is used to uncover when people are engaging in identity theft.
- We place a session-based encripted cookie on your system. This cookie contains your account ID. It prevents unauthorized access to analyses. It also keeps the session from timing out. If you have ever lost a significant quantity of work while filling out a form due to a session timout, you can appreciate the importance of this feature.
We apologize if this created an inconvenience for you. We feel it is necessary to support our core functionality, to guard against identity theft, and (ironically) to protect privacy.
To update your privacy settings, go to your toolbar and click "Tools". At the bottom of the drop-down list click "Internet Options". In the pop-up form, select the "Privacy" tab. Adjust the slider control to "Medium High" or lower. Click "OK" or "Apply".
